Shuswap River Waterthreads

We have started outreach in communities along the Shuswap River Watershed with the intention of creating a hand embroidered map of the streams feeding into the river.

Groups in Lumby, Enderby, Mara, Ashton Creek, Armstrong/Spallumcheen and Sicamous are in the preparation stages of working on the projects.

We have started meeting in communities along the Shuswap River…

Lumby - Fridays 10-12, Fabric Arts group, OAP Hall.

Spallumcheen Township/Silver Star - Meeting Sundays at 1pm at the Vernon Library upstairs. Contact Deb at debbchumphries@gmail.com for more info.

Enderby - Tuesdays 1-3, Needlework group, Enderby Library.

Ashton Creek - Thursdays in February from 6:30pm to 8:30 at the Riverside Community Hall (3784 Trinity Valley Rd).

Armstrong- Meeting the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month at 6pm at the St James Anglican Church Hall (2315 Patterson Avenue). Next meeting is February 22nd. This group is joining with the Armstrong Quilters' Group. Everyone is welcome.

Mara - Mondays at 11am at the Mara Community Hall (11 Coell Jones Rd).

Sicamous - Wednesdays at 10:30am at the Red Barn (1226 Riverside Ave).
