Runaway Moon presents a one-of-a-kind event - a Festival of Mini-Theatre!
On the first weekend of May, over 20 different shows can be seen in a variety of venues, each in a different theatrical style. The stories have three things in common: each one comes out of a single suitcase, is about 15 minutes long, and each is an answer to the question “How Did You Get Here?”. Puppets, pop-ups, shadow, comedy, straightforward storytelling - each person has a unique way of sharing their reflections.
You can see one of them if you are just passing through, or you can see them all … the more you can catch, the broader your understanding will be of what it means to be here, now!

Storytellers are from Ashton Creek, Grindrod, Mara, Armstrong, Salmon River, Vernon, Revelstoke. There are also five coming from Victoria where the project has also been growing, and a guest artist from Vancouver. They are from all walks of life, including several professional performers. Ages are from 12 to 85!
Thank you to the Canada Council and B.C. Arts Council for support of this project.
