August 6th to the 10th we are presenting a community performance of “Tuwitames” in collaboration with the Splatsin Language and Culture Program.

Directed by Splatsin historian Rosalind Williams and Theatre Director/playwright James Fagan Tait, the play shares teachings and values from Secwepemc culture through stories both traditional and contemporary. The story follows the journey of a young person in modern day, returning home to find out about his connection to the land and people.

Performers of all ages will take part in the performance and in the making of costumes, puppets and other elements created for the sharing of the stories.
